Black Screen

Same problem here.
First time i login after work i can play for an hour or so before the screen goes black and music still playing but after i restart the pc it will happen every 2-15 minutes of play.

intel i5
8gb ram
ati hd 6850
OCZ Agility 4 SATA III 2.5" SSD
win 7 ultimate 64bit

Heroes of might and magic 6 and guild wars 2 play just fine.

Thanks for the info about steps for resolving black screen.

I first noticed this issue when I got close to a wall in the fetid swamp, the screen would go black, I was still connected and the game was still playing, I could still move but couldn't see where I was moving and monsters were still attacking (Ice nova is awsome).
After I logged out and left for 8 hours or so I came back and now it's happeneing on the title screen. The game will flash out and I'm in full screen mode. I've never had this problem before and I play alot of other online games like WoW and LoL. I just started playing PoE so this is very disapointing. Here is my system.

AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-core Processor 3.60 Ghz
8GB ram
64 bit opperating system
Windows 7
