The problem with elemental skills is that they need additional damage, otherwise output DPS will be poor. So we have to add all kind of elements there. If you just go lightning alone, DPS will be poor. So you need cold, and even fire if possible

Thanks Angry. If this is the case, LA build (as well as Fire) may looks like a bit weaker than the other elemental build, e.g. ice shot as I saw quite a few ice shot build s under Ranger 3.13 build list but only saw one Lightning arrow build. Anyway, I'll have a try and see how far I can go.

Heads up to anyone doing this build or any variant, but the top end bows have been severely nerfed in 3.14.

Double damage went from 20% to 10%, the great flat cold stack per dex mod got halfed, ele pen got nerfed down to 10%, and the ele% hybrid 80% mods are now veiled only making them very RNG from veiled chaos. this won't affect the build PoB as that was using a windripper, but the bows he links as his "endgame" bows all use these mods and they are all nerfed.

This ends up making the build much weaker and harder to reach red maps, you're going to die a lot more and really struggle to get into reds. It also makes the budget waaaaay higher to push your atlas.

If you're not oneshotting everything you can also kiss any ultimatums goodbye, as the build doesn't have the life to survive anything.

If you were looking into a cold conversion / dex stack variant of the build like I was, don't. It really isn't worth it anymore now that cold per dex is nerfed.

All that said the build still works, but def not as a league starter and you should expect to double or triple the budget. Probably better to save it for another league tbh.
