Passives Count? Also, Passives Optimizer

Has anyone counted the number of passive skills?

On a related note, I am planning to program a passive skill tree optimizer/build listing program. If anyone has experience with Python and wants to get involved, PM me.

Furthermore, if you have no programming experience, but don't mind a little data entry, PM me.

Furthermore, if you are a GGG employee and want to send me the base data for the passive skill tree in sort sort of pickled object, nodal array, or nested list format, to make everything super easy, that would obviously be cool too. You know someone is going to do it eventually... Why not help out?

This is, of course, impressive, but it's not quite what I am doing. To be clear, I wasnt going to write a gui for testing build, I was going to write something that will generate a searchable/sortable list or database of possible builds. I do realize the scope of such an undertaking which is why I am applying some limitations (e.g. don't pick skills for more than one weapon).

Ideally, you would be able to ask me, "Beej, how can I haz the most crit chance from passives with Daggers?" or "Beej, please tell me the highest strength I can get from passives on a which!", and I would be able to tell you after a simple query.

I will contact dspair and beg for or colaborate on his data, so I don't have to re-enter all the passive skill infos myself.
