Could not overwrite executeable with patch executeble
I just fought with this nasty bug after patching. The patcher wouldnt no matter what i did delete the old exe and replace it with the client.tmp
so i had to do it per hand 1) go to your PoE install dir 2) delete or renemae client.exe 3) rename client.tmp to client.exe I need a ... Shrubbery!

If you use Comodo, just add the executable as a trusted file and you'll be set.

Struggling with this bug. I attempted to replace my PathofExile.exe file with PathofExile.tmp by deleting the old .exe file and renaming the .tmp file to .exe . When I run path of exile after this the program stays in the initial loading screen for ever. I allowed the program to run for 1.5 hours and it stayed in the load screen.
Not sure what to do now. I am having to delete path of exile all together and re-download the client and allow it to patch (takes upwards of 45 minutes) every patch (which can be daily). If anyone has an suggestions I would love to give it a try. |
