Game Freeze followed by insane speed-up to catch up

Hey!

I am experiencing freezes - without server disconnects - up to ~10 minutes long, mostly 30-120 seconds. While in Lockstep (which usually functions perfectly for me) it is a freeze followed by an insane speedup to catch up. In Predictive mode it is just everything BUT my character freezing (including enemies, buffs/debuffs etc) but I can move around. After it ends I get put back at some random location (neither the one where I froze nor the one where I moved to). In both cases I usually die. (Right now I am somehow stuck in this state for the last 20 minutes (in which I also did the WinMTR test.)

I barely ever had this problem but today it got so bad that I only have a few seconds to play between minute long freezes, making the game quite literally impossible to play.

To further provide information - when activating the network screening in game the only thing that happens is the latency freezing at the value it stopped until it ends, where it spikes and normalizes. Exiting to character selection doesnt work, logging out does. I can normally operate windows and everything else on my computer in the meantime and access the internet.

It kind of looks like this clip - just longer/extremer.

I play via a Wifi network at home, not able to connect ethernet directly. The speed is good and I have never before experienced connectivity issues with PoE or any other game. It happens on both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz channels. However I noticed that on the 5.0Ghz channel there are much longer and more frequent freezes than on the 2.4Ghz channels.

Now I will post my WinMTR test

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

I hope to find help on how I can resolve this problem and get back to the point at which I was able to enjoy the game like I did for the past few years. Happy to hear about any fixes/receive any help.

Update 1: After changing from 5.0 to 2.4 I now instantly crash PoE every time I load an Instance .. so that's cool. Aka - I cant even load into the game now.

Cheers!

I'm having the same problem, had it since this summer but quit since i couldn't fix it... would love to get back in this game again.
As you can see from your own WinMTR report (5.0 GHz) -->
| 192.168.1.1 - 0 | 505 | 505 | 1 | 2 | 14 | 5 |
| 192.168.0.1 - 8 | 394 | 366 | 1 | 3 | 10 | 2 |
| 84.116.231.35 - 0 | 505 | 505 | 10 | 25 | 549 | 18 |

So you are getting high latency spikes between hop 2 and 3.
I would guess that is between your house and your ISP's network.

If you look at your other WinMTR report (2.4 GHz) -->
| 192.168.1.1 - 1 | 645 | 644 | 0 | 5 | 1525 | 1 |
| 192.168.0.1 - 9 | 486 | 445 | 2 | 9 | 1811 | 2 |
| 84.116.231.35 - 0 | 649 | 649 | 10 | 32 | 1545 | 25 |
There you have insane latency spikes between your PC and AP

These 2 reports fits with how PoE reacts to latency spikes, so sad to say but you have to find a way to test it using a CAT6 cable between your PC and DIRECTLY into the ISP router since your WinMTR also shows that your have 2 localy router devices and I am guessing that one is the ISP router and the other one is the WIFI router.
