I'll update the guide as soon as I'm back, but Zombies are good for 90% of the content. Skeletons are for the rest. Your zombies are likely not going to survive the end game bosses and Guardians. That's what the skeletons are for. Even when Convocation was a part of the build, it was really hard to keep a high number of zombies alive. So I added skeletons which even on their own without the Vaal version, are enough to easily beat the end game bosses.

Ah, well, that makes the skeleton setup in the guide make a lot more sense. I'll try switching around to something more in line with what you have in the guide and see how it goes. Probably have to give up my skeletotem to give them more damage, but if I'm switching to Bone Sculptor the summon is 3 at a time anyway, so that won't matter much.
Yep, that made a big difference. In retrospect it should have been pretty obvious, zombies have never survived big boss damage very well on my previous summoners. But I guess I was hoping this one was different somehow! :)

Switched ascendancies to the ones in the guide to get Bone Sculptor, moved gems around a bit, and took down the Minotaur. Still died a couple of times, but that's par for the course with him in my experience. Don't think I've ever managed to kill him on a summoner without at least one death, just too much AoE damage in too small a space.

I switched up Zombies and Skeletons in the helmet and chest, too. I figure if Skeletons are going to be your main damage dealer, why not give them the 6 links? Zombies still demolish most things with Minion Damage-Multistrike-Fortify, and for tough rares or bosses the skeletons will be there to help anyway.

Edit: And oops, just realized I had Melee Physical and Fortify backwards. Better swap those around!

Interesting build, and one that I'm starting to try out. First time using minions and the laid-back nature of the whole guide is definitely appealing. Here's some league-specific questions: how does the build do while running through unstable memories in your experience? Can Charged Dash go through The Blue Stuff? How capable is it of finding the stabilizing points in time? How does your horde fare against the sudden onrush of enemies most of the time?

Cheers.
I play in Standard so unfortunately I don't have answers for the Synthesis specific questions. Sorry. But the zombies are awesome for the sudden rush of enemies. I love starting a map that has 100 enemies waiting for you at your spawn point...I just barely tap Charged Dash to get rid of my invincibility period, and splat, I'm alone ;-). I hear 3.6.1 changed a lot though (for League).

Great questions though. Sorry I couldn't answer most of them.

So I've played this the last 3-4 leagues along with a Trapper usually. This league has finally allowed me to build it the way I want to with a lot less effort than before.

Have modified your tree to use Eldritch Battery and added Leveling tree's, items to the item section and added some different variations of skills to your PoB pastebin build.

https://pastebin.com/v0v5T5RN is the pastebin with my edits, check the Notes for more information. Will share more if i edit anything major or if I need to fix something that gets patched.

Lemme know what you think about it when you get a chance Wrecker-Of-Days :D
Will do. Next week. PoB exist for the phone! But it's not detailed enough for a thorough response.

Can somone show some of the gear they are using at later levels for this build. i know your post says to use anything just have the stats you said but i like to see what people are using that make this build work . with gems inside. are we going for energy gear or armor or evasion? what kinda weapon and shield you suggest.
I like these questions and seeing what people respond with. In terms of the defense that different armor types give, this build doesn't focus on any defense from gear besides health. All of your damage mitigation will come from fortify and enfeeble. And since we don't focus on Armor, Energy Shield, or Evasion in the passive tree, any amount of it you have on gear will produce minor amounts of defense. Anything helps though.

The filter I use (doesn't help console) only shows armour with Str. and Int. based. Same with shields....but Str. only shields are great too. Any one-handed weapon that you have the requirements for will work. I like scepters cuz they look cool and have the Str. and Int. base too.

I know I only answered one question. Soon us console folk will be able to link our gear too :-).

Hey there, trying out this build right now. I'm new to Path of Exile, so I still don't understand completely how everything works, but i'm getting there! I was wondering if this build works with any other skill other than Charged Dash? Thank you in advance for your reply and thank you for sharing your build with everyone!
Hey! I hope you like the game! I'm glad you seem to be enjoying the build! Any MELEE ATTACK will work instead of Charged Dash. You'd also likely want to have it a movement skill. Attacks require accuracy. So with Attacks that don't have tons of attacks a second like CD, you may have to try a few times. Also, CD is naturally lightning damage, initiating Elemental Equilibrium. So with another movement melee attack, make sure you add either lightning or fire damage to your attacks (can be a mod on equipment)...and never cold damage.

Great post and I hope you're having fun.

I think I'll have one more evening available to respond via phone before I'm back home next week sometime.

You've been wonderfully helpful to each other. :-) I love this community.

Thanks for the build, really enjoy it.

I'm not great with movement skills so I'm playing around with putting the curses in Bane. Changes the playstyle a lot but seems to be working for me. Obviously no EE but Bane gives pretty good damage and there are a couple of gem slots opened up that I need to think about.
I'm running this build as my league starter again, and once again at my really slow pace since I don't get a ton of time to play. I've incorporated phase acrobatics into the build this time since I loved how it played with my arc miner last league. I need a few more levels to get the build complete but so far I like the feel of it. Still not fond of charged dash but Shield Charge and Ball Lightning linked to Enfeeble through Curse on Hit is a good substitute. One thing I forget every time, then get reminded of once I hit maps, is to get a minion taunt on hit with attacks jewel either in the tree or in an abyss belt. If you're feeling squishy that jewel makes a big difference.
