Yeah, I also lag once in a while, from 30ms to 55ms back to 30ms immediately.

Can you please be more precise?

Take a couple of screenshots with the telemetry showing (F1 toggle, showing all three (FPS, Latency, Frame Time). Better would be a video.

btw you do have some packet loss (line 13), which could be the culprit for latency spikes.

Double check this (packet loss at this hop) the following way:

(1) Open POE, get into a map or Act 10 area.
(2) alt+tab out of POE into the Desktop
(3) Open in the Path of Exile folder logs\Client.txt
(4) at the very bottom, you will find an IP address, which POE is currently connected to. Looks like this:

"
2019/02/04 13:22:07 1021609312 dc [INFO Client 18504] Connecting to instance server at 63.251.253.108:6112

(5) Connect via WinMTR to this IP (in this example 63.251.253.108) and let it run for a while.

See if you get around the same hop the same amount of packet loss ~32%.

You can also alt-tab back into POE and just stand there and watch if you get latency spikes.

If this is the case:

(1) Email your ISPs tech support and ask about the DNS they are using and what's wrong with it

(2) Alternatively, you could change in your home network internet router the DNS provider (Google the handbook of your internet router how to change the DNS for the internet settings, the option should be where you input your IPS details in to connect to the internet):

"
Primary and Secondary DNS
Google https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/
8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Cloudflare https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/dns/what-is-1.1.1.1/
1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1

(Cisco) OpenDNS https://www.opendns.com/
208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

And repeat the above steps again with WinMTR, if you still get packet loss to your preferred POE gateway(s) ( https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1377789/page/1#p11291009 ) and or the current instance you connected to in POE.

If you still have problems even with different DNS settings, please don't forget to post those WinMTR results as well.

here is the video sry about the bad quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Xkxs0HDkVw&feature=youtu.be
(vid is take from a fresh startup of the game)

and here is the result with the ip: https://pastebin.com/fTuj4x4e

and to be more specific the lagg is a combination of both frame drop and latency spikes its worst when i just start the game and the game will go more and more smooth the longer it runs (never entirely lag free) but when its beginning to run with barely any lag suddently the game crashes with no error message and then i can start over

while we are on it every time i log in to the game and chuse my charrecter it throws me out the first time and then the second time it works i can live with this thing tho cause it only takes 1-2 min of my time to get in anyway
Having the same problem today on different servers.

Your 2nd WinMTR (to the POE instance IP I assuem) is the worst, from the beginning you have latency spikes, but no packet loss.

(1) Can you please post your DXdiag txt report (via pastebin.com, keeps the formatting for easier reading) and you full PC specs?

(2) Are you sharing this internet connection with somebody? What type of Internet connections is it? ADSL?

(3) Are you connected wirelessly to the internet router (when was the last time your rebooted the router)? See the Guide, GGG does not recommend wireless connection ( https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1377789/page/1#p11291009 ).

(4) Do you have torrent running? Did you check your PC for virus, malware and miner?

(5) Do you have similar latency problems with other online games? Fortnite? Apex Legends?

PS: In POE Options, leave the Networking mode in Auto for the time being.

PS: #2 I don't know what potato PC you have, but (1) reduce the graphics quality settings and (2) get an SSD for $50 USD. And FYI, if your gfx card is not DX11 capable, you will need to buy a DX11 capable one to play 3.6. Eg a new budget AMD RX480 (~$50-$75 USD) or used one from ebay.

i dont have torrent running and i check my pc for vivrus/malware once a week i will try to reinstall it on my ssd its on my other harddisc right now cause i installed it before i got the ssd and my pc is 1 year old havent had a reason to upgrade yet cause i can play all the games i want to in good quality (except for poe)
The issue you are having kicks in at the second hop, with both tests showing lag spikes. (one of 100 ish ms and the other with 1000ms+)

I don't really care what you think the problem is because "you can do other stuff fine" online, the problem is clear and you are refusing to believe it.

Turn the router off for several minutes then try it again with the test, if it's still showing the same problem then you need to contact your ISP.

there is nothing GGG or anyone else here on the forums can do to help you.
