Unlink from steam

Can anyone tell me how to unlink my account from steam? Stand alone client has significant performance boosts. Not to mention, the updating.

You can add an email address to your Steam-associated Path of Exile account by navigating to your account settings and using the "add email" option. You'll have to use an email address that isn't already associated with a Path of Exile account.
