I have never experienced a "crash to desktop" without any further error-messages, but I am quite sure I know why they happen, because it started recently for me. The game crashed about once a day for me as soon as I started using the "PoE TradeMacro" that was announced here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1757730 Even with the latest version it still happens and it happens to all the people around me using it as well. Same thing, first problem was that the new windows 10 build have nvidia drivers that got in conflict and even after install new one PC was crashig. Thne i instaled windows 10 1803 build it automaticli download that bad drivers. So i need install wihout internet install from usb new nvidia driver. That fixed one of my PC. Second was ok for a while then started crashing POE , and windows. I needed to turn off fastboot in windows. So what i recommend is go to safe mod , DDU your drivers.
