Balefire, Runebinder, Pursuit of Faith can't summon totem

If i try using the multiple totem support i am able to summon 3 totem (+1, base , -1 runebinder, +1 pof, +2 multi totem). I am not sure why i cannot summon a single totem with out using multi totem.
