[3.10] Ngamahu's Flame Cyclone Berserker (RETIRED)

"
Can you tell me how to deal with Shaper's guardians? Managed to kill Phoenix, but the rest litarally oneshots me. Just tried to kill Minotaur and Chimera - burded all the portals and barely scratched them.

You have 5.2k life. Diamond skin, Executioner, Vaal pact. This is a berskerer. 5.2k life is essentially 4.7k life + more degen.

You're playing a melee build against guardians with 4.7k life. Get soul of steel, sanctify, Juggernaut. Spec into more life, drop some dps nodes if you have to, level up, get more flat life on gear. Both of your rings are bad. Get regular rings with atleast +70 flat life before you can afford decent opals/steels with the same life. You don't need that much dps for clearing or bosses.

This build is squishy as it is, idm dying once or twice at a boss fight but if you're at the point where you're bricking maps, then spec into more life and decent nodes. Not diamond skin. You could also swap out the quicksilver for a basalt for bosses. Seems like you're dying to phys dmg bosses.

All of this so far is just about gear/tree. Your playstyle matters too. Are you keeping fortify up? Using Berskerk when you need the dmg reduction? Using Molten shell? Using it after your Lion's roar?

Also in general, if you die once to a boss, the fight is much more difficult from then because you start from 0 rage. That cuts your dps by a LOT and you don't have access to berserk.

How about bleed? You don't seem to have anything for bleed removal, exept for pantheon. Also, how do you manage to sustain degen from blood rage and rage itself without hp potion? I find it impossible, as even if I attack mobs, I constantly degen and dying.

I didn't feel like I needed one, 20 stacks of corrupted blood are very rare with ralakesh. But I tried out a life flask and it does feel better. I'll update the flasks. I'm running:

Instant life of staunching
Quicksilver of adrenaline
Silver of heat
Wise Oak (Swapping out with stibnite of warding for curse maps)
Lion's Roar

I'm not using VP anymore. I took it out a week or so ago. Try that.

Some things I can think of, in order of importance:

-> Make sure you have fortify up.
-> Pop lion's roar, then molten shell before killing them.
-> Make sure you have atleast 3-4k armour. Use an astral plate over Carcass Jack.
-> Place your totem and take cover.
-> If you want to be absolutely sure, drop the totem setup completely and run cdwt + some offering skill.

I ran a T14 Orchard (which always has porcupines) with some bonus dmg as lightning to test. I have 3k armour and 6.2k life. Lion's roar, molten shell and fortify saves me, even if I jumped right into packs and cycloned. Without them I was getting one shot every single time. My hp was still dropping really low, so I ran cdwt + offering and that works really well. I barely ever dropped below half hp.

I wouldn't drop the totem or its links personally just for porcupines. I'd just do the rest, and you should be fine. Given a really bad ele map, or chrome porcupines, I'd just drop a totem and take cover.

Is there a CoC variant of this build? (using molten balls to cast) It would probably require a 6-link ngahamu, any thoughts on whether it would be worth building? (Like the magma orb or frost nova one, probably a skill that also utilizes fire damage and massive aoe for map clearing/farming)

Edit: So I tried adding Life Leech support into the axe, and it's not doing anything. Any ideas as to why this doesn't work?

As far as I know, no. You'd need a LOT of crit, not to attack speed, not of projectiles to make it work and a 6L axe yes. I'm not sure if its worth it or not. It's hard to say how often the balls will hit without actually making a character.

It should work fine, Molten burst is supported by life leech. Can't import your Pob.

Hi! I haven't played with Ngamahu's before and now I'm planning a build. About class, I'm still wondering about chieftain. Chieftain gets the fire-conversion of AoF for free without penalties to other dmg-types, right? You could use a shaped amu with ele-pen or an elder amu with 20% extra phys as fire and/or extra non-chaos as chaos, flat phys, AoE, or whatever stats you'd like. The Atziri flask would work as well, for more dmg and leech? Do you think it'd be viable? Maybe berserker (or raider) are much faster and more enjoyable?

Yes chieftain gets the full conversion and you use a rare amulet with % phys as x. You can also use Atziri's Promise, although the leech from it is irrelevant.

It's viable, depends on what you value. Berserker will have significantly more damage, and I guess should be more enjoyable to play. Chieftain will be much tankier, assuming you're taking Tasalio and Arohongui. The damage will still be enough for everything.

With the amount of people saying they die easily in the comments you could give chieftain a go.
