Ex diablo player New to PoE have a few questions.

First and foremost i wanted to sink some $$ to support PoE i wanted to know what was the best option to best benefit me any new player start packs and so on, also what websites should i make myself familiar with when starting PoE?

does the game have guilds/clans that can be joined for help?

Stash tabs are a great thing to spend money on. Supporter packs are good too. There is a pack for players just starting out but I don't recall the name of it.

I'd recommend buying 200 points ($20)* and waiting for a stash tab sale (they're frequent), which should get you started comfortably. 200 points are enough for the following during a sale, which I recommend:

- 1 Currency tab
- 1 Quad** tab
- 2 Upgrades to Premium tab***


* These "basic" purchases can contribute towards later "upgrades" to supporter packs.
** Same space as 4 separate tabs, but easier to dump items into to sort through later.
*** Not crucial, since the Quad can also be used to list items for sale. But still nice to have.

Welcome to Path of Exile! As you can see by the boxes under my name I have bought just about every supporter pack I could.

NEVER BUY STRAIGHT POINTS IF YOU CAN AVOID IT!!

Always buy a supporter pack if you havent and need points. This will give you 90% of the full point value of whatever you spend PLUS exclusive MTX. Its an amazing deal. If for whatever reason you buy every available pack(Currenly around $600 worth of supporter packs out now) and still need points, then go ahead. you can also buy supporter packs twice and you get another set of MTX as well.

I would recommend buying 1 of each of the Quality of Life tabs when they go on sale(Typically every 2-3 weeks).

Currency Stash tab
Divination Card Stash tab
Fragment Stash Tab
Essence Stash tab(This one you can possibly skip if they come out with a fossil tab)

Once you have those I would recommend getting 1-2 Premium stash tab bundles, this will allow you to list items for sale to get pickedup by the trade API and let others see your items for sale.

Last, I would recommend picking up at LEAST 1 quad tab. Either to throw a bunch of stuff in while mapping or for specific purposes.

Those will make your life SO much better in game. Once you have done that, pick up a new portal, because having something besides the blue portal is always nice as well.

I believe the "First Blood" pack is the best value for your first purchase. You get $20 worth of points + some MTX. After that if you need more stash tabs I suggest to keep buying the supporter packs as you gain exclusive MTX and a good amount of points. Best tabs in order are Currency Tab / Maps Tab / Quad tab.

TBH, get a supporters pack (not sure why anyone would suggest otherwise unless you had limited funds)

$30 pack gets you a few mtx which would cost around what you pay (about 150 points or there abouts each) AND you get 250 points to spend on things like tabs
