Yup that was the reason I switched to POE. D3 got more and more arcade style over the years, pretty much handing you everything. Even if you had an unique build, there just was an endpoint at which the grind was done and it was done relatively quickly.
But as a game on its own, without the POE comparison it's a good game.

D3 is a much better game than PoE overall, much better engine and combat and UI and, well, pretty much everything exception sheer amount of content so once you're done you're done, unfortunately.

PoE doesn't have better class diversity either. It just has no difficult content. Before uber elder, you could complete everything in the game with literal joke builds. Zero difficult content. And even uber elder is still a joke for many, many, many builds.

Finally they add infinite scaling with delves, but also included huge sulphite costs so you can't actually push to the difficult depths without getting bored first. If delves didn't cost so much time and sulphite to push, you would see identical builds at the top of the solo leaderboards. That's why GGG made delves more time consuming (sulphite collection) than difficult, so you just get bored before you really delve deep.

umm yeah, good luck on level 100 and i'm sure you will get it with less than 24 challenges...man these xp leech parties need to stop

It's hard to call it Blizzard anymore. Activision Blizzard is a bit of mouthful. Or maybe just Activision.
