Recording Videos

I was using Plays.tv/home and it works o.k except it creates a lot of lag, making it so no one really wants to watch the video. I tried emailing them about the problem but they disregarded it. Does anyone know of a good video recorder that doesn't lag and is free? I'd like one that can make two or three minute video clips of the game.

i like bandicam
its free, only includes a bandicam banner at the top of your video, will record HD 60 fps and will record a video up to 10 minutes long.

OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) works great for recording and streaming. It can take a bit of tweaking to get it to your liking but it works amazing! You can find video tutorials for any setup help you need on youtube.

OBS, if you have a new-ish Nvidia GPU then Shadowplay is good too. Or Nvidia Play, whatever they call it these days, it's in the GeForce Experience software

I looked at both. OBS, I spent about half an hour trying to install it. Had to download multiple stuff it said I needed, then I got a message saying 'update completed' or something. I looked on my computer and couldn't find the program anywhere. So I gave up on OBS, install is too difficult.

Bandicam is a very easy install, doesn't take long. I made a video here and didn't notice any lag. So I think I will stick with it.

If you have an Nvidia card (i dont know what model nvidia card you need), you could try the recorder that is built into GeForce Experience, its free and it seems to be really good, altough I dont use it regularily. Have only heard good things about it from others as well. It didnt reduce my FPS by more than like 2 when I tried it.

Which one? I run a R9 380 and switched over to windows' built in recording tool (WIN+G) and from what I can tell it looks ok.

AMD's driver integrated recording stuff produced lag and I kept getting audio delay issues with OBS.
