FPS Bug ??? path 3.3 path 3.4 path 3.5 and the problem continues

"
Blaeknight can you please tell us about your (I guess awful) PC specs ...?

Hello RPGNoobANKA Have i5 4440, 16x GB Ram, Grafic AMD Ramder r7 240 x2GB

I have clear that my PC is a shit, but does not justify that sharp drop in fps, being clear that in the map or on the screen there are no extreme graphics or anything, in video 2 you can see that the problem still remains in the tree of pasisa that there is nothing of big graphs and demas with + 90fps you close the tab of chat and they lower to 0 always

1. And your HDD/SSD (I assume its an HDD) specs/model, how old?

Manufacturer name:
Capacity:
RPM Speed:
Cache:

2. Did you delete in the Path of Exile folder ALL log files? To be found in Path of Exile/logs/Client.txt. Delete also the other temporary files. And don't forget to empty the trash. Afterwards.

3. In case you use a mechanical HDD, when was the last time you ran defrag ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/17126/windows-7-improve-performance-defragmenting-hard-disk ). Please run defrag after you deleted the temporary log files.

3.1 How much space do you have left on the drive, eg for the Page File? ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15055/windows-7-optimize-windows-better-performance also know as "Virtual Memory" ) But I 100% doubt it has something to do with memory and virtual memory. You have 16gb ram. For your use case (POE) you should not run out of memory (can be checked in the task manager, how much RAM POE takes up).

btw Why am I so focused on your HDD and the log files? Because the chat window interacts with the log files and the log files are written/accessed on your HDD. And with that crappy machine you got (and who knows about your HDD), + 'you never know POE' - I would not be surprised that the fps dip comes because your machine because it has to work so hard just to access/write the log files on your HDD.

If the chat window per se was bugged, for all, (causing fps dips), other people would report the problem as well. But not a lot of people have your machine.

This is not a bug. Your PCs are too weak to play Path of Exile.

This will be my last post regarding your problem:

Please defragment your hhd, as I already ask you to do: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/17126/windows-7-improve-performance-defragmenting-hard-disk

Same with deleting the log files, I asked you to do.
Update: You can confirm that your FPS AND FRAME TIME drops correlate with your HDD access (speed (rather lack thereof)) by having POE windowed and monitoring your HDD access (via the task manager) like this user did: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/arcqzg/1second_freeze_occasionally_known_issue_i_cant/egmjitw/

If it correlates, it's your PC (the combination of such old hardware and a mechanical HDD).
The reason why these ''fps issues'' never get fixed is because there is nothing to fix on their end. Either upgrade the toaster or move to a console. Complaining about bad performance while using who knows how old of a hardware is ignorant.
Vast majority of people who experience these stutters run the game of hdd, for a game or any piece of software that constantly ''streams'' it's contents an ssd is the only way to avoid issues.
The best part is that as long as you have a free sata port, it doesn't matter how old your mobo is, it will support a solid state drive - the speed will be limited on older hardware, but even taking that into account, it will be miles faster than any new/old hdd.
No rest for the wicked.
