Beta Wipe, True or Fake?

Was hearing rumors going around global about a beta wipe late April early may. Was wondering if there is any truth behind this?

There will be a wipe when the game goes from closed to open beta. That is currently the only planned wipe. Open beta is expected in the next few months, so what you heard is probably talking about this transition.
Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.
