path of exile_x64.exe has stopped working

I cannot even play the game. The game freezes and I have to exit and see this error mesage.

This happens if I enter the game...it happens if I start new character. Have tried probably 10 times. I can't even play at all. It happens within a few seconds.

I tried turning off Engine Multithreading. No dice. I tried changing from Directx11 to 9....no dice. I ran under Admin rights....no dice. Game used to work for me fine....nothing has changed here.

Anyone? I am posting again, as I see this was an issue a long time ago, but seems not now....except maybe for me.
