Game freezing constantly

Last few nights my game has been freezing constantly, very weird freezes, the particle effects are still moving but I can't move and everything else is frozen. After a few (10-20) seconds the game will un-freeze but run at super-speed to catch up, which has caused me to die twice (at level 95.. not happy about that).

I have since been using my old dusty logout macro as soon as the freeze starts as I don't want to keep losing 10% due to the game breaking and not my own stupidity. However, the last two maps I did not only froze but all portals disappeared when I re-entered my hideout. (T16 Elder maps with 100+ Quant and 4 Sextants..)

Seems to mostly happen when I run Beyond with map device, and the two maps that I lost back-to-back had a worm barrels sextant mod.
