'Whisper'-button on the trade site not working in Firefox

I'm using Firefox and want to switch from using poe.trade to the official https://www.pathofexile.com/trade site for searching and trading items.

The issue, however, is that the 'whisper'-option when I want to buy an item listed on the official trade site is not working in my Firefox.

When I open the trade site in Internet Exlplorer, I'm prompted to grant clipboard access when I click on the 'whisper'-button - and some quick googling revealed that it is not even possible to grant clipboard access in Firefox. So this feature of the trade site requires clipboard access, which seems to be the reason why it's not working in FF.

I already tried the workarounds described here:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Security_Policies
and here:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Granting_JavaScript_access_to_the_clipboard
but to no avail.

Any ideas how I can get the whisper-button, a crucial feature of the official trade site, to work in Firefox?

Using firefox and the whisper function is working fine.

Unless you are blocking something with no script?

I already tried disabling noscript, didnt work either.
Could you state your Firefox version (found in the about page) as well as any extensions you may be using? These will be required to try and reproduce your problem.

Firefox version: 37.0.1 (I am intentionally not using the crappy newer versions of FF.)

Extensions:
Addblock Plus 2.6.13
Classic Theme Restorer
NoSquint
NoScript 2.9.0.14, but I already tried disabling it and the issue persisted even without noscript!

Drive by comment, but if you're intentionally using a >3 year old version of a web browser, you have to accept the fact that you'll have a degraded experience (i.e. certain things won't work).

Drive by response: You're right, but it would anyhow be neat of GGG to provide an alternative way of using their trade site then one that requires the very intrusive clipboard access to work.

Even when I'm using it in IE, I have to click to accept clipboard access in every new trade window that I open. Start up my PC in the morning and want to open my 5 bookmarked searches on the official trade site? I'll have to grant clipboard access 5 times. And that's in an up-to-date browser with zero extensions.

A toggle to make the official trade site work like poe.trade, where a small window with the trade message pops up, so it can be copy-pasted by usual means, would be great. The official trade site has so many cool features and advantages over poe.trade, but the clunky interface is a real hinderance - irrespective of my preference for an outdated browser. ;-)

Support for copying based off mouse events (the whisper button click) was added in Firefox 40 and made default in 41.

As for the IE problem, you can change how IE prompts you in the security settings tab (add pathofexile.com as a "trusted site" then make sure "allow programmatic clipboard access" is marked as "enable" instead of "prompt").

EDIT: Browsers generally have very strict controls around how websites can access your clipboard data, such as requiring the request to come from a user action (click event, keyboard event, etc). We only write to your clipboard and never request the information that you have stored already there.
