Why do some people not read party chat?

Because it is hard to read/work the chat in general? if some1 /w me, i am in global 820, just sold a map and being in a party is chaos (and thus hard to follow).
I have faith GGG will make it beter in the future (different chat tabs?) | |

Maybe he wanted you to wait and stay in his hideout until he finished his rota or whatever he and his party was doing at that moment. And because the portal are needed for the players in the map, he did not liked it, that you want to use a portal to get to him instead of just wait until he finds time to make the deal.
But who knows, what others are thinking,.... |
