Bumping “old threads”

Yes, violates forum policy. However, can anyone confirm what is considered “old”? Ie 1 week, 1 momth, or 1 year?

I’ve asked GGG support to define this term but haven’t received a response yet.

Depends on the content and the intent of the necro. For example, the thread with all the custom avatars is five years old... and bumping it isn't "forbidden". It's bumping an old thread just to complain about something that hasn't been addressed that gets frowns. The ones that will really piss off support are the ones with outdated information on them.

Glad they've found a way to deal with it though. They used to just delete the new post and let it sit on page one. Now they move it so that others don't continue the problem.

If that's true then when the date a thread becomes "old" then why doesn't GGG just lock that thread so no one can bump it?

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

I can't wait to bump this thread in mid 2019 for the irony.
Bump.

Things that go bump in the night should not be confused with a Classic Necro.
