Bashar al-Assad Fanclub!

Sadly but in the middle east, dictators and strongmen are the best you can get for now. But of course some dictators are more equal than other dictators. Western globalists do not like Ghadaffi & Assad, becasue of their nationalist, pan-arabic & secular policies. The West liked Saddam, when he was gassing iranians, but not anymore when he overstepped his boundaries. The West adores the Saudi dictatorship, the Hashemite kingdom and all other obedient Arab royals...

As long as you play ball and don't go against globalist interests, US/EU will deal with you, no matter how "bloody" or undemocratic you are. France and Italy were selling weapons to Ghadaffi still a year before they turned on him and killed him (let's be frank, the wahhabi hordes would never destroy the country if it wasnt for NATO intervention). Now Libya is another failed state ruled by various factions (divide & conquer strategy). Our friends, the Saudis, are bombing Yemen and causing a humanitarian catastrophe, no one in the West cares, because the Saudi pay well for our politicians and media to STFU.

Bashar al-Assad is the lesser of the possible evils that could rule Syria. It's not a coincidence that all the Syrian ethnic & religious groups (including sunites) are fighting together with the government, while only sunni islamists are on the side of the so called "rebels". How would Syria look like if the "rebels" won, we can already observe in the province of Idlib - where various al-Qaeda types are fighting each other for turf & money. The regions under "rebel" control are ruled by mobsters and warlords (hint: warlords can be more easily bribed than a strong central government).

If it wasn't for external influence this war would be over a long time ago and the country spared most of the destruction & death. It's the West and our Gulf Arab "friends" that keeps the war going on for so long (and cry crocodile tears at the same time). Assad is actually fighting for us in Europe too - by preventing Syria falling apart and becoming a breeding ground and exporter of al-Qaeda types. That's partially also why Russia is there - it's a very small jump from Syria over Turkey and the Caucasus into Russia proper. Imagine if Afghanistan was in central America and the Taliban would be sending jihadi fighters through Mexico into the US. What would McCain do?

Anyway, Assad is fighting the strongest globalist forces in existence. Unlimited Saudi cash, superior US technology & intelligence apparatus, unlimited streams of weapons and jihadi fighters from all over the planet (there are even Chinese Uyghur jihadists in Syria), unconditional political support for the "rebels" by US neocon/neolibs and their EUrocuck lapdogs, hostile Israeli & Turkish neighboors...

He's fighting to preserve the Syrian identity, historical heritage, secular nature of the country & independence*. And this deserves respect in my book.

Are we playing the same game every year? Last year, when the US were about to leave Syria, Assad gassed children. This year, Trump says he'll leave Syria very soon, literally a couple days later Assad gasses children. Really makes you think.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
Meanwhile Trump shouts "Get ready Russia, roskets are coming" on Twitter, while russians have preventively aimed LACMs at the US military forces based in Syria.

Fun times.

Let's not forget Israel who shares a border with Syria and does not want - and will do whatever it takes to prevent it - an Iran-influenced Syria. Hence the shadow war vs. Iran and Hezbollah, of which the last airstrike was just the top of the iceberg.

Bashar al Assad is as good as they can possibly be in the region.

Honestly, the Iran backed Shiites are far more reasonable to deal with than Sunni Salafists.

Based on what the US media says about Iran, and Iran's bombastic rhetoric towards Israel - most people would assume that they probably gas Jewish people there, or don't give them any rights. When Jews have representation in the Iranian government, and live far better than they would under Sunni Salafists. The Salafists would either behead them, impose draconian taxes, or make them into slaves.

The Iranians really aren't that bad (comparatively speaking). For an Islamic country, what they're doing is very moderate.

People really need to put things in perspective. It's not reasonable to hold the rest of the world to Western Democratic standards. Oh wait! They're not like us, so lets bomb them and make them like us! Goooooooo Merica'!

Senator Rand Paul raises the same question me and others have about the motive behind the "supposed" chemical weapons attack by Assad:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t0aq8cqj5I

The only person on the left I've heard raise similar concerns is Dennis Kucinich. Most everyone on the left in the USA is calling for blood over this. What happened to the anti-war movement on the left?

Does anyone find it kinda odd that the 2 political parties in the USA who couldn't appear more divided on most every issue, seem to come together when it comes to bombing somebody? And with little evidence?

Assad's government denies it did the chemical attack, and the Russians deny it as well. They claim a foreign secret service is responsible:

http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/04/13/558382/Lavrov-Syria-Chemical-attack-foreign-secret-service

"

"God forbid anything adventurous will be done in Syria following the Libyan and Iraqi experience," Lavrov said.

He said that even the smallest miscalculation in Syria could "lead to new waves of migrants to Europe and a lot of other developments that aren't at all needed, either by us or our European neighbors, and can only gratify those who are protected by an ocean."

Makes sense to me. Europeans are going have to pay for the USA's continued warmongering in the middle east. And if you join the USA in bombing their country, maybe they're going to migrate to yours with an ax to grind?

Russia said the USA was planning something like this a few weeks before it happened:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1tf1gN2ToI

The point of this is, that I know for a fact that the USA and it's allies are lying. So let's see what the other side has to say.

It's our (people's) fault too. Europeans keep snubbing nationalist politicians, who are the only ones (besides hardcore commies maybe) against sensless foreign interventions and creating more chaos in the Middle east. Everyone else is for more wars and serving Saudi/US interests. Look at France or UK - the ruling parties changed in the last years, yet their foreign policy on Syria is exactly the same.

The powers that want Syria to become a hotbed of islamic terror are desperate and will invent anything to justify an intervention to save their islamist assets. It's also scary to see how corrupt the mainstream media is, with zero journalistic integrity left. They keep re-hashing the same bullshit lies, over and over, in their fucking sterile studios full of suited up drones reading the same script...

Journalistic quality is at it's lowest in human history, imo, as most media are just propaganda tools for their owners (and this is not exclusive to western sources). If you are interested in more factual news from the ground in Syria, you'll have to learn some russian, I'm afraid. ANNA news (yes, it's a pro-russian source) has made many great reportages during the breaking points in the war (liberation of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, ec..), while embeded in frontilne SAA units. They have been reporting on stuff that western MSM intentionally ignores (eg. uncovering rebel chemical labs in occupied Aleppo).

Some of their videos have eng. subtitles, like the recent about the liberation of E.Ghouta.

There are other examples of real journalism, like this brave Bulgarian woman, who reported on weapons traficking from eastern europe to terrorists in Syria (paid by you know who): Journalist Interrogated, Fired For Story Linking CIA And Syria Weapons Flights

The loony King of the Wahhabi people, or rather Prince (who, apparently, everyone now works for) has re-branded ISIS/ISIL as the Army of Islam and is apparently seeking donations! And getting them from Europe if what I hear can be believed (and I have no reason to doubt this).

This directly feeds into what has already been said here. The media is so horrible, so twisted, people won't know that it is the same group.

I agree though that people in Syria (once the Wahhabis have their way) are used to a secular society and will leave if they can.

Guess where they are going? And do you think they will be grateful to those that helped destroy their country?

Hmm.
