my friend who doesn't like path of exile normaly, played this mode like crazy and said that he wuold play it 24/7 if it was out for real.

I enjoyed it very much. To answer your question it's of course a very good idea, but it would be great if the rewards would also change, not always the same. In this way more people would be tempted to play this mode. However, players who hate this mode are certainly those who could not win once. :)

For the time I spent playing it, I did enjoy it. Balancing and server issues aside, I think as a random event it could be quite enjoyable.
I'm fairly upset however that I never finished first, I'd have loved that hideout addition. |

Definitely worth putting time into this fun game mode especially if you can get exclusive hideout decorations from it
