It really gave me a feeling of playing sorceress in Diablo 2 :-) You really brought my favorite skill (Arc) back to life. This char quickly became my most fun character this league. Not required. I have done all content up to the Shaper with no helm enchantment at all.

The core items for this build are Inpulsa's Broken Heart and 2x Poet's Pen. Together, these will cost you about 30 chaos orbs. You should also try to get a Pledge of Hands or a 5L staff for your weapon swap ('x' hotkey).

I advise you to look at the "leveling" section of my guide. In there, I provide poe.trade links to all the items that might be helpful for this build. I also provide advice for new players who cannot even afford the core items.

This is based on current Bestiary Softcore prices:
Inpulsa's Broken Heart: 1 chaos
Poet's Pen x4: 60 chaos
Mind of the Council: 3 chaos
Berek's Grip: 30 chaos
Choir of the Storm: 45 chaos
ring, boots, belt, and gloves with life/mana/resistance: 10 chaos
Jewels with 2 damage affixes: ~1 chaos x 7 jewels
Total: about 155 chaos orbs

For my current character, most of the jewels have 4 affixes and are worth 2 exalted at a minimum. I would estimate that it's worth >15 ex at least.

Nice job! A small tip, on my skill bar I like to put Arc and Ball Lightning, even though they're greyed out. This way I can look down at the bottom right corner and see which wands I am using.
