Shield Throw/ Can´t have it both ways..

The player should lose all the shields stats while it is being thrown.
Thematically it doesn´t make sense that you still benefit from an item that is currently not "equipped".
It´s not a shield at that moment, it´s a projectile. Can´t have it both ways.

It's Spectral Shield Throw... your shield never is unequipped, you just throw a copy of it. It's in the skill's description text.

Yes you can. You can have it both ways. I've seen it on the internet. In fact, you can have it three or four different ways at the same time.
Good Idea, Spectral Throw should work in same way, so you can only throw one weapon and have to wait until it returns, it might possible you miss a target and the thrown weapon gets permantly lost ;)

There should also be a maximum number of Arrows your quiver can hold. After they run out, you have to go back to your hideout to restock.

I think this would also be great in terms of slowing the game down. Many people argue that power creep has become too strong, so adding a little realistic touch like that, could do so much for the game.

It wouldnt, it would reinforce speedclear even more.

Why? Because now arrows are a valuable resource you dont want to waste. If you do, you´ll be punished by having to waste time. So you´d make sure every arrow will blow up like 10 screens, if thats what needed to NOT have to waste time and restock ammo...

But it will screw the casuals, because they cant stack that much dmg and they will be punished, which means you´ll increase the gap between the haves and not haves even more.

sometimes you hit a chaos gas zombie with spectral shield/throw, your weapon/shield should be dissolved in acid unless it has at least 25% chaos resist on it

You have a problem whit spectral shields and the number of arrows, yet walking in and out of a magical portal on your magical hideout is all the real stuff you need?

We should also add stamina bars a'la Diablo 2, and after that we bolt in a hunger/thirst/sleep/hygiene system, as well as a realistic disease simulator so we can properly be disease and parasite-riddled starving wastrels barely strong enough to stand up. That's the way most people would be when hurled without any resources to their name onto a cursed continent, after all. Very realistic.
This is why Spectral Throw and Spectral Shield Throw are spectral. They throw a ghost copy of your weapon/shield so that you can still use it (and things like multiproj or fork make more sense this way as well).
