Starting the search for off-hand weapon for Sunder

So thanks to you guys, i started looking for a new off hand.
i'm currently using Ichimonji:

and the 24% attack speed, 89% phys dam, 9-20 phys addition and i think the 10% increase of buffs (i'm using hatred, HoA and AA),
gives me a nice result.

I bought this for 3EX:

thinking that it would boost my DPS,
but actually according to tooltip, i have less DPS and APS.


i'm thinking the the 10% increase of buffs is better than you might think.

what else should i buy?

Do NOT trust the in-game tooltips for dual wielding. They assume that you're alternating weapons even when that isn't possible. Also, the attack speed and damage on Ichimonji are local stats. They don't benefit you at all in this case.

If you want more or less accurate DPS numbers, use Path of Building. You can test out other gear upgrades there too.

I think it's normal you're decreasing your DPS using the sceptre : in 1st case, sunder was only using your main hand weapon; in the 2nd case, it's alternating MH and scepter.
But maybe i'm wrong.

I installed PoB.

With Ichimonji the DPS is almost 270k.
with the vaal spectre the DPS is 350k.

however those stats are wrong.
from analyzing the PoB data,
i see that the calculation includes the curses that automatically cast with CwDT and the warcheif, which only appears when you summon it, obviously.

Once the totem disappears and if the CwDT didn't trigger the temporal chains, the DPS should be around 300k, so this also should be taken carefully.

Do not trust tooltips or programs - go out and test each setup on something big and predictable, so you can measure how fast it melts in each case.

Convenience of used setups in combat also matters a lot for practical dps.
