Thank you for posting this. I am looking for a better defense tree then what I already have and this is something I will look at, but how does it compare to my Ranged_Smile? The problem with my tree is I originally started him for CI Death's Oath, but I enjoyed VD and Trickster so much while simultaneously being way too low life (as I was going to CI to lost my life). My nodes dominate the top row of the tree, with top left fire nodes. Now I am transitioning from ES to life build. The difference is I am using Poet's Pen with Frenzy triggering it. I've removed BodySwap from my pen and have it elsewhere for selective use.
What changes do you think I should make specifically on my tree so I increase my defense while maintaining my Poet's Pen build, which is technically different from the mace setup on this build guide? " This is not a poet's pen build. Never done one so i would not take my word for how i would build for it. What i know about it though, is that each wand has a 250 ms cooldown, and while dual wielding you alternate the attacks. What i saw on your links is that VD and unearth is on the same wand. Each wand can only trigger ONE spell at a time. That means VD gets cast every THIRD hit, wich is rather bad. Have one wand dedicated to VD, and the other wand with unearth + gmp + what ever. I went ahead and made a skill tree for you. But like i said, i have never done a poets pen build so dont assume its the most optimal tree. I know that you're supposed to scale some attack speed, to bring your aps close to about 4 aps iirc. | |

Looking to use this build for SSFSC Flashback league. Do you recommend it?
If so, is Trickster still the best ascendancy? What is that "shade form" you say in ascendancy tab? I took a 5 month break from the game and I think ascendacies got reworked. Is it still an existing ascendancy point? | |
" The build is not updated for 3.2, the patch that revamped pretty much all ascendancies. I don't plan to update the build either, and i did not finish the build completely. But the skill tree should be the same, but take Swift killer, Ghost Dance, Escape Artist as your 6 first ascendancy points. The 8th point should go into either Harness the Void or Weave the Arcane. The choice is yours :) Anyway, the build should work for SSF, so go on ahead and let me know how it went. |
