Your view that those news sources are conspiracy sites is wacko. These news sources are accepted by the vast majority of people as valid news sites. The list includes the 3 largest papers by circulation in the USA.

Cool story bro.

Less than half trust the media. The Democrat's trust increased after the election because the media tells them what they want to hear (orange man bad) but those numbers are from before the Russia hoax blew up in their face. Most Democrats will stay ignorant but some will get redpilled by this and permanently lose trust in the fake news media. Really looking forward to it.

1035 is way too small of a sample size for this kind of stuff.

Conflating conspiracy sites with the major newspapers in the country is wacko. Then pointing at a poll about something else as somehow proving the wacko view is a majority is more wacko-ness. It just shows the control the pathological liar has over their very thoughts. Those folks exist in fantasy land.

It's not. Do you know how statistics work?

They literally pushed a conspiracy theory for almost three years. Some are still doing it.

You said the majority accepts the mainstream media as valid news sites. I proved you wrong. When you don't trust a news site, you don't think it's valid.

Hardcore projection.

Dunno why support took down my mockery of left wingers attacking the Dalai Lama for being a Nazi. There's tons of articles of fringe far lefters saying it. Here's one for example:

Guessing the person monitoring these forums is a bit on the far left side?

Let's review the situation. This story about chaos in the White house has been repeated many times which you yourself proved, even carried in the conservative Wall Street Journal which you yourself proved. Yet, you call the story a false conspiracy story. You think it is a false conspiracy story based solely on the word of a known pathological liar. Then you see nothing wrong saying someone else is suffering hardcore projection for pointing out the lunacy of it all.

When you consider that many states have very different views on many MANY things (due to each state having their own form of government and laws) and age is a big factor, you'll see that 1035 is a number that's way too small. Rural vs Urban is also a factor. Then it's also separated by political camp.

Trust in local news media is also an important factor. If you have a high trust in your local news, it's probable that you'll have a lower trust for the across the country news, simply because they won't be your 'go-to' source. (the opposite is also true).

1035 might have been an acceptable number if it was done in a single state but as an across the country, with a population of 330 millions? This isn't enough.

I'd say you'd need at least 5k respondents that are evenly split among each states and with data that show age, living area and political affiliation to have a semblance of decent sample. Honestly, 50k would be a much better number with the aforementioned methodical sampling.

I never called that story a conspiracy theory. I said it's a talking point they regularly peddle when they have nothing else to talk about. The conspiracy theory is the Russian collusion hoax.

"No" would've sufficed.

Here's the formula for calculating the needed sample size:

Here's a calculator if you don't want to do it by hand:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/mp/sample-size-calculator/?ut_source=help_center

Polling 1000 people is enough for virtually any population size. I know it's counter-intuitive but maths don't lie.
