Please remove experience Loss.

This game is good but when ya die in it the feeling and frustration is so bad for our mental well being, that it better people just quit than play if die few times in row to difficult mob. The Death penalty of experience loss is actually extremely bad psychologically. These things have been shown in study's the negative effects on peoples brains that such things cause. There no reason to have experience loss to begin with it basically makes the last 2hrs of game-play completely pointless, this results in players getting frustrated and elitism from players who forget when they once died. There is so many things in this game that can kill a person of guard, that having such a experience loss is extremely determinable to their mental and spiritual health. With this new expansion coming and even more ways to die, it about time you remove this punishment and think of something else, like 10 minutes reduced chance of items drops or something, or even weakening a character for 5mins or something.

No. See... then they'd have to make the game assuming you're at level 100, and it would just be work to get there. Now, level 100 is simply a small bonus. You get to 90 or so and then quit. If you want to, you can try to go higher, but no one assumes you will. It's a choice.

Removing the death penalty would make it a chore.
A lot of their profit comes from players struggling to get to level 100.

Asking GGG to remove the death penalty is like asking them to use hundred dollar bills as kindling.

Since they are nerfing Vaal Pact into the ground in 3.1, they are going to need to do something about Reflect.

Otherwise, people are going to be dying all the time. Then the experience loss may start really pissing people off.

are you trying to imply that anyone would play non miner/totem/summoner builds with VP gone?

Wait what? Which profit?

and i think most people dont even have level 100 as a goal

i've been playing POE for almost 7 years and never wanted to reach it, useless grinding for so low reward, maybe if they added special nodes for lvl 80-90+ that would be worth it

but POE's skill points arent worth it individually, if you compared to Diablo 2 where the 80-99 was you 5th maxed skill as synergy
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
The death penalty will stay. It's as much a core aspect of the game as the skill gem system, skilldrasil, currency items and uniques are. The game is made around those things existing. If any of those were missing, it wouldn't be the same, nor targeted at the same audience.

As for the reason of experience loss: In most games death involves some kind of penalty.
Path of Exile was never a particularly friendly game towards the player, so it makes sense for the death penalty to be just as harsh as the environment is.

The removal of it would actually cause one major problem, the players in softcore wouldn't have any reason anymore to try to prevent their deaths.
In addition, this would shift the meta entirely to the point where all out full dps glass cannons would be the supreme builds, which apparently is not something GGG wants.

With the lack of consequences behind deaths, gameplay would also become incredibly dull, as you wouldn't need to pay any attention anymore, just get cast on death portal and you don't need to care about anything and could just farm kitava to lvl 100 with only a glass shank if you wanted.

A little something about the text you wrote itself
Next time try to use words that are actually conveying what you want to tell us:
Determinable - to be able to be determined
Detrimental - having a negative influence on someone or something

Also, please note that the plural s doesn't require an apostrophe, which, in this case, would make it "studies" instead of "study's".

And while we're on the topic, could you give us some proof for them actually existing? I'm somewhat interested actually.

PS: Nobody likes walls of text. It doesn't kill you to make a new paragraph every now and then, you know.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
Git Gud bro.

Harvest is the BEST league EVER. Deterministic crafting ftw.
How will POE2 and POE coexist?
