Xbox One X item targeting is off

Ever since I upgraded to One X the targeting on drops (items, currency etc.) seems to be different and much more clunky kind of like it was before the patch that made it auto highlight currency first. This includes using the right stick to try to manually select drops. I suspect this has something to do with the higher resolution. Using default one x controller. Thanks
