BoR and Chestpiece

I see people saying they are equipping an Animate Guardian with a Bringer of Rain helmet and various chestpieces -- I have never received a reply from these people regarding how. Doesn't a BoR preclude wearing a chest, or is that disabled on an AG? Is there a trick I am missing?

Testing has shown that Anime Guardians don't care about BoR's restriction. Haven't heard it being fixed since whenever that was last discovered.

I have AG with BoR and Zahndetus Cassock. Seems like no restrictions from BoR apply, because AG constantly generates consecrated ground on block.
