Got an invite from...my own character?

Okay, so, this is an odd one.

I logged in on the character MaylayFizz, a Marauder in Standard, while I was sifting through my Standard stash, cleaning it up now that I have 36 in Harbinger. My buddy Aesring created a Beachhead, and asked me to come help him run it (this is his first endgame character.) I switched to Harbinger_of_Frogs, then invited Aesring to my party.

Then it got weird.

Aesring reports he's received an invite from MaylayFizz, which is odd enough. Then he reports that MaylayFizz is in his party. I say, no, I'm not on that ch...huh.



Well, that's weird. I guess I'll get a screenshot of what the hell



Okay, so not only is Aesring seeing the wrong character in our party, apparently I'm in a party with my own character.

I've never seen something like this before. What even is this?
