Logout Macros

Is it legal or not to use such macros in HC?

any macro/bind program that does more that 1thing is banneble.

for ex: you press 1button and the game opens the "esc" menu and logs you out. , that is banneble because it does 2things in 1click.

Doesn't every HC player do that though, even on streams? Or do they press ESC themselves and then macro finds the spot for logout?

probably, when i get scared i just alt+f4 and hope i dont get the message saying "you know you character is not on that league anymore"

That's why i ask about, streamers really don't care and just use it to save themselves from RIP and don't get banhammer. Oh, and so what about mercury trade? Is it illegal too? It's only for fast trading and pm, nothing more...

p.s. ill say it again fuck hc with logout macro, just add 10-20 sec timer to logout if char isnt in hideout or town

No that's wrong. Any macro that performs more than one server side action is bannable - logging out is one action so the macro you described above is fine.

It has been. Many times.

1 server action per keystroke. No automation. No timers.

Logout is fine. It's a single server action. Chicken script (auto-logout at a certain health level) is not. It's automated.

You are fundamentally misunderstanding the system (in a hilarious way imo).

Any macro that does a single _server side_ action is legal. For example, a tp macro that opens your inventory, right clicks your portal scroll, and then moves your mouse back to the center of the screen (where your portal is) without clicking on the new portal: that's legal, because opening your inventory and moving your mouse are 100% client-side actions. Only "using a portal scroll" counts. If your macro also clicked on the newly-opened portal, that'd be illegal.

Logout macros are legal because they send a single message to the server: disconnect. Opening the escape menu does not interact with the server in any way.
