Restarted router, PC... no improvement

This MTR shows an introduction of 3% packet loss and ping spikes of up to 900ms at the first hop to your ISP. I'm not sure if this is related directly to the issue in this thread, but you should definitely hit up your ISPs tech support and get them to fix this.
vodafone user in Italy,problem unsolved

Same here, i use a vodafone adsl.
When join the game everything is going well until i use a portal, after that the lag spike reach 1800 and over, the game become unplayable.

The situation seems worse in Milan of all places!!! During the weekend I live in another city and return to Milan for work; unfortunately both ADSL are Vodafone but, while at home it was somewhat playable given that I tried not to open a portal, I just tried to login from the outskirts of Milan to Milan server and was not even able to do my master daylies without a big freeze...

The whole situation is mind-bogling, especially because it started all of a sudden...

EDIT: I should point out that I live near the mountains of northern Italy so at home I only have access to an old 7MBit line while in Milan I have a way better 20MBit line, I should see improvements, not the other way around...

EDIT2: to whom it may concern... Interacting with Zana (in a map) counts as opening a portal...

EDIT3: entering and exiting an uber lab trial also counts as opening a portal...

EDIT4: If you DIDN'T open a secondary portal, dying (after interacting with Zana or an uber lab trial) seems to reset it; after getting frozen, I would simply let the game unfreeze itself (after maybe a minute or two) and discover I was, obviously, dead. Upon re-entering the map through the original first portal the lag was magically gone. (Maybe dying closes the lab and/or zana map instance?)

I'm glad that GGG is actually aware and working about this issue.

I have Vodafone in Italy and I'm suffering from it since some weeks, if there's anything that I can do to help GGG finds a solution, just ask me.

I would also point out that's not specifically portals related: it happens whenever you leave a zone and then re-enter it (like backtracking in the lab for example)

I kind of agree, although I tried today connecting from the outskirts of Milan and I've got mixed results:

1. In Highgate it is almost impossible to walk around; have to quickly get to the waypoint and teleport to my h/o before it freezes completely.

2. In the uber lab I could come and go freely between maps (to get a golden key for example) and got lag spikes and freezes in a completely new area.

3. In normal maps if I activated a Zana map, everything was fine until I got back from the map.

4. In normal maps if I entered an uber lab trial everything was fine until I exited/completed the trial

5. In both 3. and 4. cases, if I let the game unfreeze (and dying), ressing in my hideout and entering again the map would apparently solve the situation and could finish the map.
It might also worth noting that it happens way more often on maps than on other areas. I usually, but not always, can use a portal in any random location between a1-10 without issues, but if I use a porta in a map that's almost a sure way to get latency spikes and freezes
Hello,
Same issues for me, I've got Vodafone ISP, I live in Italy so I use Milan Server.
I've test connection with WINMTR, and it has not find anything so relevant.
I've notice that lag spikes/freeze began at particulary time slot, between 12.00 - 13.00 (UTC +1), i can play normaly before that time laps.
After that time slot games i unplayable for all day, didn't notice if there is a time slot when the game come back stable...

EDIT: No more problems for me...

I will probably jinx myself by posting it, but it seems that everything is smoother lately
I have been getting booted out of the game all day long. Every time I try to play or battle it knocks me off and I have to log in again or it freezes my game and it completely has to be reopened. It does the same thing when I am changing map places also.
