Problem with reinstalling PoE

Hi,
the last patch failed with an error (something with CrashUpdate.exe). i tried to fix it with the PackCheck tool but this also didnt work. then i deinstalled PoE completely and downloaded the PoEInstaller.msi again. when i doubleclick the PathofExileInstaller.msi this windows message pops up: The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance. cant fix this problem. That did not help either: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315346/en-us HELP ME! maybe i ll never be able to play this game again! :( btw: is there a PoEInstaller.exe to download? (NOT .msi!) Try rebooting and attempting again. If rebooting doesn't help, you should just need a copy of a client.exe of the game. If you don't have access to one, send me an email and I'll mail one back to you.

wow amazing!
just wanted to reinstall PoE again with the .msi installer. guess what happened. same problem like 8 months before... in that time i formated my pc completly (format c, bios battery out etc etc). it seems like that this PathofExileInstaller.msi is messing up my Microsoft Installer, because i cant execute any other .msi files, always the same error. i dont know why this happens or if i m the only one, i think the only possibility left is a scratched Win7 cd maybe. here are my specs: Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit Intel 2600k (not overclocked) 6 GB Kingston 470 GTX and COMODO Internet Security was running. if you need more infos just ask hope this helps a bit IGN: CrazyBite
