This build will probably move to Slayer/Raider or Slayer/Assassin to deal with the nerf. The DPS will suffer but it'll survive. We'll be playing like a Slayer and rely on overleech. It'll be a bit more awkward but we do more DPS.

With the 40% damage nerf to Sunder single target and the nerf of Vaal Pact, this build doesn't look particularly viable at this point. I may try to do it for the new league anyway but it does look bleak.

It appears it was a a rare bug and not something that happened frequently. Build may not be dead, just depend more on leech by doing Slayer + Vaal Pact picked up for maximizing leech rate.
Ok so it seems single target is fine. The problem with this build now is to have to deal with losing either Raider or Assassin ascendancy, both of which are rather important. I'm leaning toward keeping Raider but I fear it may drop the crit chance so low it'll become too unreliable.

I played around in POB with the idea of using RT and just ignoring Crit entirely... idk, that might be an option but the damage loss would be high.
I did some extensive PoB-ing myself. Assuming the calcs are correct there, here's what I find:

* AssSlayer > RaiderSlayer
* RT Scion Dual-Wielding is solid
* Max DPS Crit stuff (as in not using inc. crit strikes) gives about 75% more DPS than non-crit. That said, the crit chance will hover only about 50%.

Edit: crit seems to be viable still. It's just going to be super awkward to play sometimes due to lack of frenzy charge generation on bosses, also loss of a bit of EHP.

It looks good, not sure if Tempestuous steel or Prismatic Eclipse will be better in practicality. Obviously 30% ele damage from phys that Temp steel gives looks really good in POB, but would the global atk speed be better for actual usability?
Oh Prismatic Eclipse 100%. It gives faster whirling blades, less vulnerability to ele reflect (though that isn't really a problem anymore), and helps with Multistrike animation lock. The only downside is you have to run 3G socket but that shouldn't be a problem. I use Tempestuous Steel in my PoB though because I don't think Prismatic Eclipse works there.
Thoughts on Leveling Path? Rush to RT and then just take the point out when I go to the Crit nodes?
