[3.0 Brutality Cyclone Raider] Physical damage for the win

Description
Hello. Im playing selfmade cyclone builds for 3 leagues in a row and i think i finally created something decent. This build combines like really all you need - awesome clear speed (good aoe and movement speed), awesome single target damage (shaper video down below) and decent survivability (8% life leech with vaal pact carries it a lot). And the most important thing - it is a unique cyclone gameplay!

Pros
1) So much action with cyclone! You never get bored with that, for sure.
2) Great map clear speed. Movement speed and big aoe let you clear those tier 1-16 maps like a vaccum cleaner.
3) Great single target damage. All bosses down. Videos for them later (now only shaper).
4) You can start league with that build (like i did). It is not a joke. Leveling gear can carry you (uber lab can be easily done (about 5 mins overall) with kondo's pride, for example)
5) Survivabilty. 8% life leech with vaal pact allows you recover full life with 0.1 sec after you get hit. If you not get dead, hehe.

Cons
1) Final version is somewhat expensive. You need those 6 links and hi-end weapon.
2) Overall lack of defensive tools (like blocking or armor or big big healthbar). For softcore its ok, but for hc you need some changes (kaom's for chest and more life increased, for example).

Tree and Ascendancy

level 93 - goo.gl/NkxHVf
For leveling with poeplanner:
26 points -> https://goo.gl/kQ6wxy
55 points -> https://goo.gl/eWH385
76 points -> https://goo.gl/GRdvTz
93 points -> https://goo.gl/wTLBgh
116 points -> https://goo.gl/dFoHVX

Ascendancy order: Rapid Assault -> Avatar of the Chase -> Way of the Poacher -> Avatar of the Slaughter

Leveling

Simple. Just get leveling weapon uniques, such as Reaper's Pursuit , Rigwald's Charge and Kondo's Pride. Use cyclone or sunder and your leveling will be fast and furious.

DPS/Defense stats

Full buffed tooltip Cyclone dps ->

Average dps (inc aoe and charges) ->

Average defense ->

Gear and gem links

It is my current version. Gear can be better and can be worse. :)
Main:

Starforge is not only option for the weapon. For sure, it can be
Atziri's Disfavour (you get slightly lower phys dps, but you also get +1 weapon range).

Devoto is nobrainer choice for helmet slot, but you can also get good rare helmet, or even Alpha's Howl for better mana stability and freeze immunity. Good enchanment is very very valuable.

There is some very decent alternatives for armour slot.

First -> Kaom's Heart.
+500 flat hp is always decent, you know. :)

Second -> Bronn's Lithe.
Look at those offensive stats! +2 to cyclone level, increased Attack Speed, increased Damage, increased Movement Speed, increased Attack and Cast Speed. But there is some cons for this armour. +0 flat hp and resistances. And, obviously, this armour needs to be 5 or 6 linked to use with cyclone setup.

Third -> Queen of the Forest.
You can use it as leveling chest for low tier maps. This armour has some resistances, +60-70 flat hp and very big evasion stat. And the most important thing for qotf -> evasion = movement speed.

Pair of good rare gloves is always great decision. If you can find it - buy spiked gloves with attack speed and flat phys damage top tier rolls.

Big nobrainer. Good as always.
Especially I want to note this enchantment. 10% chance to shock allows you to shock. Wow. Without any crits and with our great purple anime sword.

Or you can use Darkray Vectors. Pair of this boots with frenzy charge corrupt allows you to reach max available frenzy number (10). Just awesome for raider. Big problem - +0 flat hp.

Accessories:

+1 to frenzy charges. You need those things for raider ascendancy. Really.

Flasks:

Overall gem setup and usage

1) Main cyclone setup
cyclone->melee damage->(brutality)->maim->inc aoe/conc effect->faster attacks
2) Movement
Leap slam -> Faster attacks -> Fortify (can be used for main setup, but omg, there is so much better gems)
3) Ancestral Warchief setup (our best friend) (the more links available - the better)
Warchief -> Melee Physical damage -> Faster attacks -> Brutality -> Maim -> Ruthless
4) Default CWDT and Vaal Haste
Cast when damage taken -> Immortal call -> Increased Duration -> Vaal Haste (here for inc duration)
5) Auras
Blasphemy -> Warlord Mark or Vulnerability (you may be surprised, but 0.4% mana leech in the tree is totally ok) -> Haste

+ lightning golem and blood rage.

Nasty map mods

Stay away from this two:
1) Cant leech life and mana from mobs
2) Phys reflect (single rare mobs with this are fine, because you have instant life leech)

Enchants

Helmet - 40% inc damage for cyclone is OP.
Gloves - probably dont need any enchants, because in best case scenario you gonna use those shiny spiked gloves (+20% increased to melee damage).
Boots - 10% chance to shock is good, but absolutely not necessary due to shock nerfs (now its almost useless against big ass bosses). 16% attack speed maybe even better for overall dps. Or frenzy charge corrupt. But there is another big one - life leech enchant. Choose something.

Bandit quest

There is two ways.
1) Kill all. +2 points (probably you need it for 10% increased max life).
2) Help Kraityn. 6% increased Attack and Cast Speed, 3% chance to Dodge Attacks, 6% increased Movement Speed. All of these are good for our build.

I think, 2 points are better here.

Pantheon

Take this.

It is good for all day usage. Good for maps, good for bosses.

Dont forget to capture all needed souls.

Arachnoxia - tier 3 map Sewer.
Master of the blade - tier 6 map Strand.
Lycius, Midnnight Howl - tier 13 map Lair.

Rek'tar The Breaker - tier 13 map Gorge.

Great map for cyclone - Gorge ->

Not so great, but decent - Waterways ->

Guardians (all with vaaled hard mods (some with 8 map mods)):
Hydra (super easy and safe):

Phoenix (super easy and safe):

Chimera (easy too, but slightly harder)
https://youtu.be/ghLXv98usfs
Minotaur (hardest of them all):

Minotaur again, much easier with Kaom's Heart and Iron Reflexes

This build looks great!

i play a brutality cyclone build as marauder. I get 106000 top dps in tooltip with Tidebreaker (i think its a shitty weapoen btw)

how you got 300k plus, its insane.

Thank you.
I think Tidebreaker is more like a good leveling (or map farming) weapon, than a real hi-end option. Starforge or Disfavour are way way better.

But what is really the best for brutality gem, Starforge of Disfavour?
Someday I'll definitely check it out. :)
Hello, I'd like to ask the robber's talent choice
do you thing the shoes used Kaom's Roots?

Roots is useless for cyclone. First, you dont need stun immunity because you get it with cyclone itself. And second - boots movement speed mod is absolutely must have.
do you think you are able to avoid any 1shot using kaom's heart? refering mostly about the minotaur

Yes, you definitely can avoid any one shots with like 7.5k hp (my build with kaom = about 7.3k hp) and active phys mitigation (fortify and 3 endurance charges). I think it will still depends on the map mods, because even with my crappy defenses i usually can tank minotaur without damage mods on him.
Ei man, i was looking for a cool build and yours looks great.
I love cyclone, played before, so maybe is time for another go, plus the ranger fits great to speed thing up.
I was just wondering if this can work whit some cheaper stuff, because well, starforge and disfavour are sooo expensive!
Can you point out some uniques that would allow me to farm red maps for currency? Or maybe even rares weapon, wich mod should i look for? Flat phys damage, attack speed and so?
Thanks in advance!

Hello. Great option for this build is Kondo's Pride. You can get it with decent roll (310%+) and 460 pdps (dont forget +50% damage against bleeding enemies). With kondo you can easilly farm currency for disfavour or starforge. Also you even can speedrun uber lab with qotf. :) Dps will be really really great.
