Curse on hit

Am I correct in assuming that movement spells such as flamedash dont hit and cannot work with curse on hit?

Movement skills, including Flame Dash, do hit and so can proc Curse on Hit.
Just bear in mind, that only the initial movement of the cast hits, the burning patch left behind does not. | |

So If I'm stood next to a mob and flame dash in any direction its going to hit but if I'm not next to them and flame dash through them it's not going to hit? Just to clarify.
