[3.6 Video Guide] Beginner's Guide SRS Baron Life [HC/SC/Atziri/Uber Izaro/Shaper Viable]

Hi, great guide, just a quick question; how does this build handle Harbinger packs in T12+? I tried an SRS build a few weeks ago (lycosidae + nerco aegis version), but it really struggled with the Harbingers. I wanted to try SRS again with this Baron version, but I'm still a little weary, lol.

The problem the Scourge/Lyco has is the fact that they lose lvls compared to the Baron +3 wep approach. Only fix to it is to use a Skin of the Loyal or a +1 corrupted Tabula Rasa. However, as long as you don't have a +2 Skin & a lvl 4 Empower for that verison you'll never be able to run super smoothly on higher tiers nor will you be able to handle Shaper comfortably.

So, this build handles these things without any specific currency input due to the stability it provides, t12+ Harbingers should never be a problem. :)

Ty for the response. :)

Yeah, you guessed the exact problem with the Lyco build. At first you're like "omg so awesome, super fast shield charge with SRS!" but then you get to red maps and look at the price of +2 Skins, lol.

So, yeah, glad to hear this build is more reasonable. Ty again. :)
@poepoe091:

My pleasure, I was told to try out the Shield Charge SRS and was told it was faster, I said that the problem will be end-game & end-game bosses but it should work very well as a MF farmer in lower tiers. So I decided to test it and the results were as promised.

yes indeed. srs is so versatile. you can tune it to whatever you like to do in the game. a truly great skill.

rampage teaches newer players how much time they should spend picking up stuff so that is good too.

@kompaniet:

Never thought of it that way, and you're right it really does. :)

Lvl 82. 800+ str. Going well. Got ruthless+ele focus to replace splash and speed for bosses. Also have vaal lightning trap to replace flame dash when needed. Good mapping build. I'll try guardians and shaper later. Still need to do eternal lab and get some more levels.

Only issue i have is that stone golem is dying all the time. I'll probably get rid of him soon. I don't have a hotkey slot for resummoning him so i have to remove something everytime he dies. If he can't survive general t10 mapping he's good for nothing. This is another option i have yet to try.

Sounds reasonable :)

You could bind him to your "left mouse button" it will only cast if you hold down SHIFT so you can still move around freely.

Just got to 77 and loving it so far. Only problem is I feel really squishy in higher maps. It's probably a l2p issue since I never really play non-leech characters. I never knew how insanely hard red map mobs hit before, lol. Damage was great, though. I tried a Minotaur at lvl 76 and the trash was a breeze. Mino himself was impossible, though. Just couldn't stay alive, lol.

I was just wondering if you could take a look at my gear so I can ask a couple questions quickly.

Spoiler

Biggest thing I seem to be missing is Immortal Call + CWDT, but Kaom's screws up slots. How essential is Immortal Call, do you think? Does it make a big difference?

If so, is it worth ditching Kaom's for an astral? Or maybe juggle the slots to try and fit immortal call in somewhere else? I could get an unset ring for haste and maybe drop stone golem or vaal haste, I don't know.

at lvl 77 you still get 100% xp from t3 white maps so there is no reason being in red maps at that lvl.

guardians are mostly learning the mechanic and practise them. sidestep minotaur's charge, pop a skeleton totem/decoy totem, stay at range and let srs do the rest. move around in a circle as he creates the falling rocks.
