anyone who know fine dining knows that is not how you do a steak

cipher_nemo showed a properly done steak despite that it was well done

I make my steaks... around medium rare I think, I'm an amateur tho I only just started trying to cook steaks, I have a couple pics, should I post? lol

It's not universally successful. It is selectively successful: it pushes away the people who aren't good for you, and attracts the people who are. Also, if you've been dishonest to yourself for a long time, you'll need a period of adaption and facing of personal problems. It's not an easy approach, and it's often not a short-term approach. Pays off in the long turn though.

Yeah, Manocean's steak was past well done, lol... almost into the realm of jerky-via-cooking.

But the sad part (for you rare and medium rare enthusiasts) is that I'd eat Manocean's steak over rare. ;-) Yeah, yeah, I agree it's not cooked correctly, totally dry, and not what I'd order. I guess I'm somewhere between medium-well and well-done, but not OMG-it's-dead-Jim-well-done.
