I'm not so sure the two are related, he says that shit for attention obviously because it's his job to get as much attention as possible and most of his audience are in the 75% of people who like their steaks cooked thoroughly and he wants them to be able to refer to this as some type of appeal to authority

Because this steak has been seared, then finished in an oven, it's pink (medium well) to the eyes right when cut, but then turns grey when the instant it is exposed to air. That's well done, and pretty much perfect in my book. :-)

well first off never cut a steak open before it finishes

and grey beef is a sin my child

the only worse one is grey lamb (most restaurants dont even ask how you want lamb done it just comes medium rare)
