Races for not so experienced players

Is there any of the races that are "easy" to win, enough for a player with not so much experience win? i was really excited for the beta but i couldnt win a single key. yes, im noob, but i still want to win a race. any tips? should i pratice?
my best score was on brutus kill, i got 600th... considering that only 50 keys were given and for the first 200, yea, not that bad i guess.

as a newb you are never going to win a race, as a hardcore racer you are extremely unlikely to win a race.

For most normal human beings winning a race is all but impossible
