There's a great Youtube channel called Two Minute Papers where scientific papers about AI are explained to normies in short and digestible videos. I'ma start with this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bcbh2hC7Hw It's about an algorithm which produces a fairly accurate image of whatever description you provide to it (assuming the algo has been sufficiently trained of course). So you basically write "A fisherman sitting along the edge of a creek preparing his equipment to cast" and the algorithm not only "understands" what you wrote but also generates a pretty good image of it. This would seem like literal magic only five years go. Future's gonna be lit. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
