Gem Ideas: Active Defences

Stand Ground:
100% Str.
"Channelling"
Increases your armour while active.
All incoming damage hits are reduced by your armour an additional time, regardless of damage element, after other reductions have been applied.
eg. Physical damage is reduced twice by your armour and others are reduced by armour after their normal resistance reduction.

Counter Spell:
100% Int.
All damage from the next attack or spell used by target enemy is reduced to 10%. This applies even if they have already started the attack/spell.
If they are using a channelling ability, it is interrupted instead.
eg. Can be used to near negate an enemies super attack.

Dex already has Phase Run and other mobility skills, so no addition one here.

Focussed Mind:
50% Int, 50% Dex.
Short duration buff.
Increased evasion.
Evasion works against spells.
Chance to avoid status effects.

Shields Up:
50% Str, 50% Int.
Short duration buff.
Temporary large boost to current ES, which quickly drains away.
Increased spell block.
Increased block chance.

Backflip:
50% Dex, 50% Str.
Backflip away from the target.
Take reduced damage while backflipping.

I like the Stand Ground and Back Flip ideas but most of the other ideas need a cooldown time or very hight mana consuption or else they will be used non-stop
Sorry, I didn't explicitly state they should have cooldown times longer than 2x their duration.
I damn love them.
I think these kind of mechanics are what POE truly needs nowadays.
