Looking for a Gaming Laptop recommendation.

I know i'm kinda late to the thread. If you are anything like me, I would have had this nailed down in one night :-) I travel a lot on business and, always have my gaming laptop when "im on the road". I had an Alienware 17 R4 that I had no issues with for 5 years, it played PoE just fine...i7, 7970m 8gigs of ram with a 7200rpm HDD. My first day on the road this year it died :-( mobo shorted out.

I looked at the best deals all over the web to get back to playing ASAP- nights are boring as hell when all I can do is watch tv. I figured if I didn't get a new laptop soon, I was going to be buying all kinds of shit from infomercials - im such a sucker.

I looked at a lot of different options and settled on the new 17 r4 from Alienware. If you are still looking and shop Alienware, do not just order through their website! Click live chat with an associate. That associate will give you the best price for the specs your looking for, and in my experience will be lower than anything you can find with the same build. The associate emailed me quotes for different builds that had my "must haves".

I ended up with an i7 7700, 8gig of Ram, 128 SSD, 1TB 7200 HDD, GTX 1060 6gig and it was shipped with their fastest shipping for free. It cost me $1395.00 that would have been 1596.00 if I just ordered it through the site, and I would of had to pay for shipping.
