How to max resistances?

I'm halfway through merciles currently and my resistances are just about 50% or so. How can I easily max my resistances for end game?

I'm fairly new to the game btw. Still getting the hang if things. And I'm following a dual flameblast totem build.

You get resistances primarily from gear.
