Help me quit smoking *NOW 6 WEEKS*

I think i might quit too, been smoking for 8 years now.. have had about 3 months on a row when i didnt smoke in that period but then i picked it up again. Managed to quit things that are a lot worse than cigs so it shouldnt be that hard i guess?

I quit smoking cold turkey 3 years ago after many years of smoking regularly. Changing your normal habits helps a lot with quitting. For example I semi-quit gaming. For me being sedentary tends to lead to eating unhealthy and smoking so I changed my habits and:
1) I started working out seriously (running and weight training). And eating healthy. 2) I quit drinking alcohol (I smoke the most when drinking alcohol) 3) I picked up a sport to do in the winter/summer (snowboarding/biking) 4) I moved out of my hometown. A lot of my old friends smoke, after the move I made a conscious choice to only hang out with non-smoking friends. I still hang out with my old friends on occasion when I travel back to see my parents. Obviously I'm gaming again but far less than I used to. |
