[2.6] Burning Pulse Elementalist - - - So Cold Is Hell

Hey Guys,
this is my first guide on a build and I choose to share my full fire freezing pulse elementalist with you, which focuses heavily on igniting enemys and proliferate these burns with beacon of ruin. Survivability should be there with some life, heavy recovery of it and armour paired with endurance charges. I try to get in some Fortify or other mitigation, bit I am not that familiar with life builds. Its like my first life based build, after a RF Marauder, but there its just stacking life and regen, because its also damage. The build tries to stack heavy amounts of burn using the Emberwake ring and also high chances to ignite. You recover, yeah recover, that's why I am not playing ES, a lot of life due to the mechanics of Emberwake, Beacon Of Ruin and Ngamahu's Sign. So all you need is a heavy chance to ignite which is easier to get than playing this on a crit base, also Emberwake makes you have no crit multi. I have not that much time to play it atm., so I will always try to update it if I level any further. If you have any advice, I would like you to help me with them. Table of Contents: 1. Weapon Body armour I used a Cloak Of Flame here because its cheap, early available, and has a good chance to ignite. Rings both rings will probably stay. also they are cheap and u can get them pretty early in the game. that's at first all you need to enable the build and I think its all for >1c even with decent rolls. Also you don't need any other skills to level this, as it works from the early start pretty well. (sure for those that level with freezing pulse and cold to fire) 3. Current Gear

Weapon I think it's the best weapon you can get for this, because it gives you a free socket. At first i tried to do it with a Doryani's Catalyst, but its just way to hard to get 4-5 blue sockets on your strength Armour, so you will never get a 6L. And this way you have a solid 6L and can and with all the +3 you don't even need the increased damage from Doryani's. Only thing is that you can't wear a shield and it's a pretty offensive approach. So i think if you get a good armour with 4-5 blue sockets you can probably play it with Doryani's. Body Armour Here is all you need armour, life and resis. you can even cut some armour for great fire resi, due to The Formless Inferno. Helmet The Helmet offers a lot of armour, and some life. Also the 8% from physical damage as fire makes it hard for phys damage to harm you. Gloves Here its also just armour, life and resis. I was thinking about using Winds of Change, but I feel you need the life more. Boots The Boots I just use for the Chance to ignite and %increased damage against burning enemies. but i think Armour Boots with decent Life, resi, movement speed and armour are also okay. Belt Its just a great Belt here. its life, resi, armour, leech and even damage, and also cheap. Rings same as before. Amulet Just as the other gear, resi, life and armour. I got one with mana regen, which is pretty helpful. 4. Flasks

I use these Amulets, because as this build gets no Dex. u can't play with GMP or LMP, but with First Snow you get a Free GMP with bonus damage. the other two give a lot of life and what you need. 6. Gem Setups

Here its just the best choice to use these. If you have Realm Ender, then you can drop Cold To Fire, if not better drop faster casting in a 6L. Curses

This is a good thing to get more survivability. Moltenshell stacks up armour with the granite flask, and it should be impossible to get faster killed then you can react. I think that's it. Please let me know How's the general mapping? Is it still freezing mobs since you converted a lot cold damage to fire? How's the clear speed? and How's the boss fight? I've never played any build using Burning as main damage source, which I think it counts on Double Dipping massively, am I right? So, since Freeze Pulse is considered Projectile, does Increased Projectile Damage dips twice in Burning? (As far as I know, Fire damage and Elemental damage do double dips the burning damage, right?) Nope, this is a bad build, this character can work simply because FP on a realm ender has so much damage.
you said it's burning build and use chance to ignite but why do you link spell echo and faster casting, those gems don't give more damage per hit, and if you constantly refresh the burn then the burning will do nothing except for killing some white mobs, the whole point of prolif is to bypass fire resist, use the burning on a weak monster to kill a strong monster. should change your link to FP + controlled destruction + chance to ignite + C2F + fire pen + faster projectile, one big hit kill the whole pack. why faster projectile? FP has a built-in mechanic like a "spell point blank", you do more damage in the beginning part of the projectile and much less damage in the end, but as a burning non-leech build you also don't want enemy to get close to you, see the oxymoron here? faster proj will effectively stretch the range of FP in order to hit enemy with the stronger part of the skill. that is if you want to stay FP, because this point blank effect, I strongly suggest you go frostbolt, the damage do not diminish with range, it's an area skill so the area nodes are useful for initial hit damage, and the 2 thresold jewels make you projectiles fly three screen far, you just fire some frostbolts and run after it everything not strong enough will die. If you use path of building and you really should, this is a sample code for a CI frostbolt elementalist use the geofri sanctuary shaper's touch combo, almost all uniques so it could be quite cheap,
