Helmet and shields can look alike

I was just doing the chaos recipe and it was failing till I realised the hemet was in fact a shield.I have been playing a long time and yet still get them confused at times.Uniques can be more confusing than rares as they have unique graphics.

A suggestion might be a slot highlighter something like either an outline or the slot brightens a little as you hover over the item.

Also an item type search function like 'rings' 'helmets' etc might be nice esxpecially now we have these quad tabs.
