You killed Zana in standard?

Dropping zana mods for stones - best choice ever. Making people in std wait 3 months to get their mods again - ass move. Having 60% reduced drops of stones in next standard allowing 3 ultra-cheap mods for chancing/running/making things easier in the long run - godly.

Yes, its kinda overlooked thing by ggg, but the moment stones appear in std as drops, you will laugh at your old zana mods.
Why bother finding a Mirror of Kalandra if it can be [Removed by Support]
Killing the Elder or Shaper while following someone's build is like finding a street using google maps - such an achievement!

Well, as you said reduced drops for stones. I dont see this as a good thing. Good luck trading for that shizz in std. UUgh.

morons. it might be the BEST thing about the entire league that the fucking paywall for league mods is gone! leaguestones HAVE to come to standard, so a 3-4 months crappy zana is a small price to pay

Maybe they will revert it. It does feel like that. Alot of criticism against legacy tbh

I doubt they'll revert it. There's a couple ways it could shake out....but my suspicion is we won't get league stones. We'll get a list of 25 mods to add to maps with scaling costs. Which, if they think spiders is worth 3 or 4c....I can't wait to see what they would price actual league mods at. "Oh you want Perandus? Cough up a Divine or two please."

I mean, what better currency sink for standard than inviting players to spend dozens of chaos on top of their map rerolls for a single map? Seems like the kind of thing you do when you're trying to figure out how to keep your economy valid for another 4 or 5 years.

league stones in perma-ssf (get rid of the shit with moving chars from ssf to regular), old model in trading leagues. problem solved
since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good
Return Zana's modes! And I wanna back Zana's old voice! ...just kidding, voice is good, but mods really are not.

What sort of a stupid idea was that?

It's as if no one ever played SSF in permanent leagues and this whole SSF concept was born 2 weeks ago.
Casually casual.

They probably just didn't want to add the ability to have different master mods in different leagues. It would require extra programmer effort and give standard something that leagues don't have. Leagues have always been a superset of standard in terms of content.

You also have to consider that this only impacts high end mappers in standard. I've never felt like I had enough currency to use zana mods so I rarely did. I expect most of the playerbase doesn't care much about this.

I generally don't have enough currency to blow it on Zana map mods either. But it was nice to be like, you know what? Today I'm gonna spend some chaos on a cray cray Perandus or Ambush Map.
"We're pilgrims in an unholy land."
Honest question though did people ever really use the other zana mods anyway? They were way too expensive for the reward (as are these new ones really).

OK, this 'Zana = core game and can't have different mods to temp leagues' has been used a lot in these many threads. I wasn't sure so I didn't say, but I thought I could remember a time when permanent and temp Zana's were different.

And now I have been able to prove it.

From the Wiki, Torment League:
"
The league started along with the Bloodlines league on December 13, 2014 and ended on March 24, 2015 (NZ time). At the end of the league, all characters and stashes were moved to Standard league. Characters that died respawned in Torment.

Torment dropped Scold's Bridle.
Bloodlines did not.

Standard, Permanent HC and Bloodlines had Torment Zana for 3 ex.

Standard, Permanent HC and Torment had Bloodlines Zana for 3 ex.

Bloodlines didn't have Bloodlines Zana.

Torment didn't have Torment Zana.

Here's Skyforth chancing Scold's Bridle in Standard from a 3 ex Torment Zana, which wasn't available in Torment, because it didn't need it. The date of the upload is March 10th 2015, 2 weeks before Torment ended.
Casually casual.
